Just point me in the right direction

Here is a piece of conversation between a student and a librarian.

Student: Hello. I’m looking for books on world history. Which aisle are they in?

Librarian: We’ve got quite a few books on world history. Which one do you want?

Student: Oh, don’t worry; just point me in the right direction and I’ll find it myself.

Librarian: Then look in the stacks down Aisle 4.

Student: Thanks.

Thanks for clarifying that

Here is a piece of conversation between a student and his professor.

Student: Professor, I can’t find enough reference material for my research paper. There is hardly any book published on the topic, only some magazines and newspaper articles.

Professor: That should be enough.

Student: But, the assignment says that I must refer to at least five academic sources.

Professor: By academic, I don’t mean just books. If an article is well-written and provides comprehensive information, it’ll do just fine.

Student: Oh. I didn’t know that. Thanks for clarifying this point.

Let’s keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best!

Amar: You look so worried, Jeena. Do you have something on your mind?

Jeena: I’m worried about my results. They’ll announce it tomorrow.

Amar: Don’t worry. You’ll get good marks.

Jeena: I hope so.

Amar: Come on Jeena. Let’s keep our fingers crossed.

Notes
