The phrases as such and such as have very different meanings, although they look similar.
As such can be used to give the reason for something.
Study the example given below.
- I am a mother, and because I am a mother I can easily understand your problems.
We can express the same idea using as such.
- I am a mother and as such I can easily understand your problems.
- He is an athlete and because he is an athlete he is a fitness freak.
- He is an athlete and as such he is a fitness freak.
- She is a model and because she is a model she understands the importance of personal grooming.
- She is a model and as such she understands the importance of personal grooming.
As such can also be used after a noun when you are referring to the usual meaning of the word.

- She is not exactly a servant. She just helps me with the housework.
The same idea can be expressed using as such.
- She is not a servant as such. She just helps me with the housework.
- She isn’t French as such, but she has lived all her life in France.
A person can’t be considered French just because she has lived all her life in France.
Such as means the same as ‘like’ and ‘for example’.
If you want to lose weight you must avoid fatty foods such as cheese and burgers.
There are lots of monuments in Delhi, such as the Taj Mahal, the Red Fort and the Qutub Minar.
