Simple present tense exercise

This grammar worksheet tests a student’s ability to make questions and negatives in the simple present tense. Students have to complete the given sentences by supplying a suitable verb form. Negative sentences are indicated with ‘not’ and questions are indicated with question marks.

An example is given below.

Question: My sister ………………… (not sing) well, but she …………………. (dance) like a dream.

Answer: My sister does not sing well, but she dances like a dream.
