Passive voice exercise

A sentence has been given in passive voice. Out of the three suggested answers select the one which best expresses the same idea in active voice.

1. Our work had been completed yesterday.

a) We have completed our work yesterday.

b) We completed our work yesterday.

c) We had completed our work yesterday.

2. The beggar was laughed at by the little girl.

a) The little girl was laughing at the beggar.

b) The little girl laughed at the beggar.

3. Dinner was being cooked by her.

b) She was cooking dinner.

c) She is cooking dinner.

4. The entire structure will be demolished by them.

b) They are demolishing the entire structure.

c) They will be demolishing the entire structure.

5. The problems have been solved by the boy.
