Change the following affirmative sentences into interrogative (question) sentences.

1. Alice has been knitting a sweater.

2. They have been living in this city for ten years.

3. He has been working here since 2002.

4. She has been waiting for a bus for an hour.

5. The leaning tower of Pisa has been leaning more and more every year.

6. Scientists have been trying to find the existence of life on other planets.

7. The baby has been sleeping for three hours.

8. It has been raining since morning.

9. Some farmers have been trying to grow wheat in South India.

10. James has been working with them for twelve years.

Answers

1. Has Alice been knitting a sweater?

2. Have they been living in this city for ten years?

3. Has he been working here since 2002?

4. Has she been waiting for a bus for an hour?

5. Has the leaning tower of Pisa been leaning more and more every year?

6. Have scientists been trying to find the existence of life on other planets?

7. Has the baby been sleeping for three hours?

Notes

Sentences in the present perfect continuous tense have two auxiliary verbs. When we change them in to questions, only the first auxiliary verb goes before the subject.
