Combine the following sentences using a participle form.
1. The sage took pity on the poor mouse. He turned it into a pretty girl.
2. The watchman opened the gate. We entered.
3. We met an old woman. She was carrying a log of wood on her head.
4. He grabbed his coat. He rushed to the door.
5. The passenger alighted from the train. He tripped over a bag lying on the platform.
6. He learned his lessons. He went out to play.
