Adverbs exercise

Adverbs are words used to modify verbs. Adverbs can also modify adjectives and other adverbs.
When an adverb modifies an adjective or another adverb, it usually goes before that adjective or adverb.
Underline the adverbs in the following sentences.
1. The two brothers embraced each other affectionately.
2. I always follow my father’s advice.
3. She will never do anything that hurts her parents.
4. I was quite surprised to hear the news.
5. We are all eagerly waiting for his return.
6. I got up early in the morning.
7. He went away before I could say anything.
